I think the funeral of Teddy Kennedy is a good time to look back at Bobby's assassination, which ended mainstream progressive politics in America. The message was clear to the political class: "Do not mess with the war machine or the social order, or you will be terminated".
This film is a good review of the holes in the official story. I think too much is made of the apparent presence of CIA officials at the scene of the crime, and not enough research into the background of the security guards and Sirhan's medical history. 100 min. source page here.

William Pepper - An Act of State: The Execution of MLK
Pepper, a journalist-turned-lawyer, whose work was instrumental in moving King to speak out against the Viet Nam war, exposed the assassination of MLK as an extra-legal execution. This act of state was carried out by the FBI, the CIA, the U.S. military, the Memphis police, and organized crime leaders. With his collected evidence, Pepper won a wrongful death suit against Loyd Jowers and "unknown co-conspirators" in 1999. He explains why King's criticism of the Vietnam War and his anti-poverty campaign was seen as serious threat by government and corporate leaders. 2.hrs, 17 min. Download here.
