The E-waste Crisis

Here is a look at one of the worst polluting industries in the world. Every day, mountains of old computers and other electronic junk is shipped to China, India and Africa, where they are broken down, burned and melted with acid to retrieve valuable metals, under the most primitive and toxic conditions. The air water and soil of these high tech wastelands will be poisonous for many generations. Although banned under international law, e-waste dumping thrives under the guise of "charitable donations" and "recycling".
