CIA Mystery Flights

The BBC program This World pieces together the jigsaw of "extraordinary rendition", the illegal CIA transfer of terror suspects to secret prisons in Europe. In Eastern Poland in 2002 and 2003 strange planes landed on an old disused runway in a secluded forest. Nine times. Was Poland a staging point in the network of secret prisons established by the United States in their "extraordinary rendition" program? Did these mystery flights bring al-Qaeda suspects to Poland? Poland is not alone: the CIA flew their planes to 29 different countries and there were 300 CIA landings in Europe alone, 80 in Britain. European governments must know about these mystery flights. Given the Geneva Convention's protocal against torture and the US's signing those accords, and US laws against torture, the US administration knew full well what it was involved in, rendering citizen's of the world to countries where the administration knew they would most certainly be tortured. And that it is also known that testimony obtained through torture is inadmissable in court and unreliable. One has to wonder why the elite indescriminately abducted and tortured mostly Muslim males. Was it a fear tactic to keep the trail from leading to they themselves and their own criminal acts, ie. the war on and occupation of Iraq, and the trade towers, and the other illegal wars on Afghanistan And Pakistan.
Or, Is it some perversion on the part of the CIA to 'take the gloves off' as G.Bush instructed, and become the torturers of lore, doing so with impunity. And then treating themselves to "spa treatments, shrimp, and Bailey's at a Mallorca resort" before jumping back into their Boeing to continue their sadistic tasks at hand.

For many who know and who see what is happening in our world, and who do not have the law degree to bring these war criminals to the bar, to justice, we support those who can. And know that the those who do these things to our fellow human beings will never know peace in all of their lifetimes.

And they Will indeed know, personally, the pain they have caused those they sent to the torturers. People who participate in such acts of rendition and torture impede the evolution of our collective well being. They serve only the masters of "the dark side, if you will"---D.Cheney
